PARTING SHOT

In what is becoming a recurring theme, Ireland will not take part in tonight’s Eurovision extravaganza. This is despite the best efforts of Brendan Murray whose song ‘Dying To Try’ failed to impress the European judges.

While we can all give out that the system is rigged etc etc, it’s still a good enough night’s viewing if you can survive hearing the words ‘we love you, Europe’ through dozens of accents.

To be fair, the only really exciting part is when the points are dished out. The only Irish involvement will see us (more than likely), give the Brits the only points they’ll get in the whole night.
